NATIONAL RACIAL EQUITY SUMMIT
AUGUST 18, 2024, CHICAGO

Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson and Journey for Justice Alliance leaders, along with education union leaders, members of Congress and mayors, will present their vision for addressing systemic inequities by highlighting the critical role of education and community-driven solutions in shaping national policy.

As the Democratic National Convention revs up, Johnson and J4J will host a series of three events bringing together these leaders with grassroots organizers from across the country. Starting Sunday, August 18, the series opens with an invitation-only Black Mayors’ and Grassroots Leaders’ Luncheon, a National Racial Equity Summit and concluding with a tour of Sustainable Community Schools on Monday, August 19. The events are being held in partnership with the Equity or Else coalition, African American Mayors Association and the Alliance to Reclaim Our Schools.  CLICK TO LEARN MORE

EOE Quality of Life Platform

EOE Quality of Life Platform
At the soul of this quality of life agenda is a united call for self-determination. We have the right to de- fine, name and speak for ourselves instead of being defined, named and spoken for by others. We have locked arms across issues to understand that the infection called structural racism is not issue spe- cific. We are prepared to organize to make America be her best self. Our job is to impact America, not integrate into the status quo of “state sponsored sabotage” of our lives. Equity or Else.
