Skilled in Leadership and Organizational Outreach Sharon Wright Jackson excels in; connecting high impact southern region equity warriors to policy reform and sociological platform innovation. Jackson skillfully renders a public stance on dismantling gaps due to race, family income, disabilities, resource allocation and technology divide. The work of Journey Justice Alliance in the New South Region provides for collective, systematic change within the Journey for Justice Alliance National Platform.
Breaking new ground in organizing families for Justice, Jackson served to change laws and effectively lobbied the House and Senate. Currently residing in Dallas Texas, married with two adult children. Jackson is a first generation college graduate awarded over 30 K in Women Executives Scholarships and Post- Grad Fellowships to complete a Bachelor of Arts, the Master in Business Administration and Doctoral Candidacy in Education Leadership. Jackson has spent numerous years in research of Cultural Competency.
Jackson started her career at the prestigious HBCU, Johnson C. Smith University (JCSU) in the Office of Admission.
Arranging for thousands of young African Americans from around the United States, tours of the University. Many of the students Jackson met personally with, enrolled in the HBCU-JCSU. Impacting the climbing success rate of black student matriculation and college graduation in the late 90s.
Following her a life goal to change lives for the better. Jackson accepted an offer as Youth Education Program Manager with the Urban League of Central Carolina. In the role of Youth Education Program Manager, Jackson in partnership with grants from United Way and Bank of America Community Development, expanded services to six Community Centers in Charlotte North Carolina. Jackson’s an early practitioner of the ” Pathways Model “for Economic Self-sufficiency, Educational Opportunities, Health Care and Wellness for the African American Family.
Jackson’s work proved to be excellent in her appointment to the Arlington Texas Housing Authority as a Housing Commissioner. Jackson reviewed the expenditures from the five million dollar budget from US Housing and Urban Development.
Mrs. Jackson is known for her: infectious smile, cheery humor, grateful heart and passion to aid in expansion of the Journey for Justice Alliance Platform.
